MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Michele M. LaNoue, Headworks President and CEOWelcome Back!  I hope all of you who attended WEFTEC 2006 in Dallas last week have returned home safely and had an opportunity to rest up from the lively, yet tiring pace of WEFTEC.

This year was Headworks’ 12th year at the show. Our team put together one of our biggest and brightest booths yet, filled with equipment and our traditional espresso and cappuccino.  During the conference we also hosted a guided tour of the Cadiz Street Pump Station in Dallas which has been operating 45’ deep Headworks Bar Screens virtually maintenance free for the past 6 years.

Importantly, given that the Headworks Bar Screen has repeatedly been proven the most reliable and robust screen, even under the most harsh conditions, we announced at our WEFTEC Representative Reception that we will be offering a 5 year warranty on the mechanical parts of all full price Mahr Screens sold in the USA!

On the heels of our latest WEFTEC success, this newsletter will feature interesting fun facts about the history of the “V” for victory symbol which our team was exhibiting after the show closed.  Additionally, in this issue we share the successful installation of the Headworks Mahr Bar Screens in the City of London, Canada. This installation required our team of engineers to design screens to the handle increased flow around their existing deep channels.

Please be sure to read the article on the disturbing and destructive consequences to a young girl’s life resulting from inadequate access to water and sanitation facilities in India and how the Water for People Organization is committed to ending these tragedies.  Water for People is the charity of choice of Team Headworks and we hope it will become yours as well.

We hope you enjoy this issue!

Kind Regards,

Michele M. LaNoue
CEO/President
