The Carapongo Mahr^® Bar screen was installed 4 years ago, in Lima, Peru. As with all our screens, Carapongo’s screen is fabricated from high quality stainless steel to very specific standards which ensure minimum maintenance for a long life, hence our motto of fabricating the Meanest Toughest Screens in the World!

Carapongo River has unusually high solid load content due to the local use of the water ways as waste disposal vehicles. The contents of the wastewater which the plant deals with include a variety of large items from construction debris to animal carcasses; however the sturdy Mahr^® Bar Screen handles these challenges with the ease and reliability which have become synonymous with the Headworks^® Inc name.

The screen has been running successfully ever since its installation, with the full approval of Mr. Ruben Palacios of Sedapal's Wastewater Operations Department. Last month Mr. Andres Borasino of Headworks^® Inc. (seen below on the left) visited the plant in Peru. While discussing the operational challenges, Mr. Ruben stated that ‘There have been zero problems with the screen since installation’. This is yet another success story for team Headworks.
