MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Michele M. LaNoue, Headworks President and CEO

Welcome to the October Issue of HeadsUp!

Our case study this month focuses on the installation of our Mahr Bar Screens in the spectacularly beautiful city of Enniskillen in Northern Ireland.  Being part of Northern Ireland Water’s continuing improvements to the wastewater treatment systems in their country is especially satisfying when the location is this breathtaking.  Read about why Mr. Michael McAlary, Regional Operations Manager of Northern Ireland Water stated: “NI Water bought the Headworks screen based not on cost alone but whole life longevity. I wanted a robust and simple-to-maintain screen with a proven track record. For too long I have been purchasing inlet screens and replacing fundamental and critical parts after as short a time as two years, sometimes with delays in receiving these parts. I needed something in a screen that was tough and easy to maintain.  I seem to have received it from Headworks!”

WEFTEC 2009 is fast approaching.  October 12th through the 14th will see us in Orlando Florida at Booth 3165 serving our traditional Viennese espresso and cappuccino.  This year we are introducing our various MBBR technologies along with our Internally Fed TurboDrum™ which incorporates the optional high level screening washing TurboWash™ design.  We will also be exhibiting a number of customer ready mechanical products including our Mahr Bar Screen®, Eliminator™ Dualflow Band Screen, Spiralman™ In-Channel Screen, and the Screwpactor™ Shafted Screw Compactor.  To learn more about our new products, check out the article in this issue.  Better yet, stop by for a coffee and a look at our Next Generation™ Technology and how we used it in the largest cruise ship in the world!

It’s Autumn and for some of us that means one of our favorite holidays is coming up – Halloween!  We’ve written up a bit of the Irish origins of this festival in honor of our Enniskillen installation.  As a company, we are dedicated to making sure our customers have a treat and not a trick, but we still enjoy the childlike fun of dressing up in ridiculous costumes each year. Some of my personal favorites are Mindy and the Scotsman.  However you choose to celebrate the days of October, we wish you well,

Hope to see you in Orlando!
