Mott Macdonald Pettit recently opened new offices in Cork, Southern Ireland where Headworks’ local manufacturer’s representative firm gave a presentation of our reliable and robust screening equipment.  MMP showed an interest in our bar screens on behalf of one of their clients, Waterford City Council.

A second meeting was arranged for further discussion which was attended by senior engineers for Waterford City Council. The Council required two new 50mm storm water bar screens for their Waterpark Pumping Station. The Pumping Station had been operating rack and pinion drive screens which required constant maintenance and costly spares.  The decision to use 50mm bar screens resulted from the problem of screenings at this site. The down-stream pumps had already shown their ability to cope with screenings of less than 50mm.
